About Visionary Gardens

Visionary Gardens was established in Devon in 2012. We are an ecological gardening business now based on Frome specializing in food production, composting systems, garden design and soil improvement.

Our background is rooted in ecology, sustainable food production and organic gardening practices. After completing a BSc honours degree in the conservation of plants and fungi at Plymouth University Dan followed the route of organic and sustainable food production.

After many years working on community tree planting projects, gourmet mushroom farms and permaculture gardens Dan entered the world of market gardening and orchard work.

After building up years of experience in this world he has developed Visionary Gardens to share this knowledge and experience and to push the importance of green space and growing our own food. On this journey, Dan also completed a level 3 diploma in landscape design which partners well with his passion for forest gardening and creating productive and functioning spaces aimed at preserving precious resources and recycling them where are can.
